What they Needed
The technical team at Zinq IT were renowned for providing an excellent service to their clients thanks to their hands-on involvement, including that of the Managing Director, Chris.
This left little time to focus on developing sales and marketing processes, upskilling the team to enable them to nuture prospects, win new customer and effectively account manage their existing client base.
Although Zinq IT had no problem getting clients, the management team were ambitious and needed support with increasing visibility and developing solid sales processes that would not support the growth of the business.
What We Did
Our on-demand Sales Director service was the perfect solution for Zinq IT. Working alongside the Managing Director to understand the key business objectives, we set about designing a strategy that would generate new business and remove bottlenecks.
We first project-managed a company rebrand and CRM set-up supported by the implementation of a simple to follow sales process and sales training. This ensured client needs were easily established and proposals could be sent in an efficient manner.
To improve their visibility and prospect communication, we also assisted in the set up of social media accounts, email campaigns, sales prospecting sequences and adding all-important touch points to the customer journey.
To prepare for growth, we supported the development of an apprentice so that Zinq IT would have a permanent, on-the-ground resource for handling sales and marketing activities on a daily basis. Since the completion of the programme they have since taken another employee through the programme to support the growth plans.
Over the last 7 years we act as a supportive Sales director, developing the sales and marketing strategy, developing the CRM, moniting the sales peipleine nd KPI’s and providing additional training and sales and marketing support where needed.
The Result
The company now has a robust customer acquisition and sales process in place and dedicated team members responsible for servicing new clients. Since we started working with Zinq IT, sales enquiries have increased exponentially and our targeted conversion rate has been exceeded. The whole process from enquiry to proposal sent is now 5 times faster. Plus the company sales have grown by 189% in the last 7 years.
This has given the MD the capacity to focus on what he does best, effectively managing the business.
